Bucaramanga

Bucaramanga is known as The City of the Parks and the Pretty City. It is located on a plateau in the Colombian Andes and is surrounded by undeveloped mountain countryside. If you are looking for a slower pace and a city off the beaten track, then Bucaramanga is for you. Bucaramanga receives very few tourists and almost none from North America. What Bucaramanaga offers is a comfortable city surrounded by, and in close proximity to the Extreme Sport Capital of Colombia, San Gil.

 

San Gil

The Extreme Sport Capital Capital of Colombia is the small town of San Gil located outside of Bucaramanga. San Gil offers river rafting on 3 different rivers, multiple parasailing locations, rappelling, hydroplaning, caving, bungee jumping, canoeing, parascending, hiking and horse riding (just to name a few things for you to do!).

 

Bucaramanga Hotel

The Hotel in Bucaramanga was selected to provide the best mix of location, comfort and compatibility with the Tour.

The rooms were recently remolded to provide a cozy and comfortable feel and provide standard amenities such as computer access, safety box and mini-bar.

 

Women of Bucaramanga (Bumanguesa)

The women of Bucaramanga are similar to the women of Medellin in that they look more european then women in the rest of the country. But reflecting the fact that Bucaramanga is a smaller city, and one that receives few tourist, are more modest and traditional then the Medellin women. If you are looking for a good mix of large city sophistication with small town values, the Bumanguesa are for you!
